14 people shot, 5 officers killed in shooting at Dallas protest
Mayor Mike Rawlings has confirmed 12 police officers were shot and five were killed in an attack by snipers in downtown Dallas at a peaceful protest of officer-involved shootings across the country on Thursday night.
"These heroes died at the hands of cowards by being ambushed while protecting and serving the citizens of Dallas as they exercised their First Amendment rights."
Our hearts and prayers go out to the officers and families of those wounded in this tragic event.
