Supported Charities
The Plano Police Association is an avid supporter of many charities, including those listed below. In addition to monetary support, members of the PPA also provide volunteer time and effort to help. Other charities are supported through their various fundraisers, such as golf tournaments and runs, as PPA will pay an entry fee for members to participate in these activities in support of the charity. If you have an upcoming event, please feel free to contact the PPA Board of Directors to see if a team can be entered in your fundraiser.
Christmas Cops
"Christmas Cops is our signature charity started in 1984 to assist Plano families in need during the Christmas Season. Collection boxes are placed at numerous local businesses, fire stations, libraries, and city facilities to collect toys, food, new coats, and miscellaneous household items. Shortly before Christmas, our Officers and Santa's Helpers make deliveries to these families."

"Each year, between 140 and 160 officers are killed in the line of duty and their families and co-workers are left to cope with the tragic loss. C.O.P.S. provides resources to help them rebuild their shattered lives. There is no membership fee to join C.O.P.S., for the price paid is already too high."
